Thinking about counselling?

If you are feeling low, overwhelmed, stuck, disconnected, or caught in patterns that aren't working for you, counselling offers a place to speak openly, make sense of things, and find a way forward.

I will work with you collaboratively to identify and meet your challenges and goals, at your pace, in whatever way works for you. I'm not going to diagnose or label you, or tell you how you should feel or what you should do. You are the expert on your life and I can help you apply that expertise constructively.

A bit about me

Prior to studying integrative psychotherapy in the UK and undertaking postgraduate counselling training in Australia, I had an extensive international career in scientific research, government, consulting, and thought leadership. My studies span physics, law, public policy, Jungian psychology, and philosophy, and I remain committed to personal growth through regular therapy, study, training, and professional supervision.

As a result, I bring relational warmth, therapeutic skill, and broad life experience to my practice, along with a deep interest in how people make sense of themselves and their lives.

Why work with me?

I work with a wide variety of people, including those facing anxiety, depression, relationships, sexuality, addiction, life changes, and questions of meaning or identity. I also do long-term work with people seeking deeper meaning in their lives, or to strengthen their inner connection, grounded in philosophy and Jungian psychology.

The reality is there's no 'best' approach to counselling. The effectiveness of talking therapy depends on several factors, including the counsellor's skill, experience and training. However, far more important is the connection between the counsellor and the client.

That's why I offer all new clients a free 30-minute video consultation, so we can decide whether we think we'll be able to work well together, without any risk or obligation.

What people say about working with me

“Daniel is extremely easy to talk to. He has this calm, kind energy that immediately puts you at ease. The clarity he provides through the asking of his questions helps you understand what's actually going on in your life."

“What struck me early on was Daniel’s intelligence and warmth, and his genuine interest in what I have to say. He really listens and he helped me name things I had trouble finding words for.”

"Daniel is caring, compassionate and thoughtful. I felt completely supported, understood and able to freely express myself. Our work together helped me feel much more grounded and less isolated."
